The seminar will focus primarily on recycling and circular economy initiatives with the keynote address from Philip Law, Director General of the British Plastics Federation.
Dr Tim Walker, CEO of ‘arc21’ and Deirdre McBride from DfE will be discussing and presenting on the development of new strategies for a circular economy in NI.
Gerry McNally will be presenting an update on the recent Invest NI / NIPA Collaborative Programme on mixed, single use plastics packaging waste, for potential use as polymer modified bitumen blends for asphalts.
Gillian Shields, Vice Chair of the Northern Ireland Packaging Association (NIFDA) will be speaking about NIFDA and on the activities of the NIFDA Packaging Forum.
There will also be a review and update on the very successful activities of the NIPA Advanced Polymer Academy in providing advanced training programmes for companies which should be of interest to all attendees .
