Plastics Industry Drawn Into The US - China Trade Wars

After the US indicated it would add duty to plastic moulds and plastics' machinery imported from China, China has responded by indicating it will add duty to plastic resins and plastic finished goods imported from the US. Speculation is the duty on both sides will  end up adding around 25% to their costs.

In 2017 China imported USD 3.2 Bn of US Resin - 11 percent of US resin production output.
